Around the world, cesarean section is the most frequently performed surgical procedure, and postoperative pain associated with it is a prevalent issue with considerable health and economic consequences for both individual patients and society. To promote recovery and minimize the negative effects of potent analgesic medications such as opioids, the use of multimodal analgesia is currently encouraged. In this article, the authors present their clinical perspective on an overview of the latest guidelines and assess several analgesic interventions.
