Researchers examined Central Sensitization (CS) in 194 patients with chronic plaque psoriasis. CS was assessed alongside disease severity, comorbidities, and psychological factors using tools like the Central Sensitization Inventory (CSI), Dermatology Life Quality Index (DLQI), and mental health questionnaires. The findings revealed that 10% of patients exhibited CS, particularly more common in those with both psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis (PsA), and that there was a correlation between CS and higher disease severity, anxiety, depression, and lower quality of life.
