In a cross-sectional study, 165 patients with psoriatic arthritis (PsA) were included who received carotid ultrasonography with integrated triglyceride-glucose (TyG) index to evaluate the connection between TyG and atherosclerotic risk. Researchers found that considerably higher TyG index was seen in patients with PsA with carotid atherosclerosis compared with those without. It was seen through a multivariate logistic analysis that a 1-unit increase in TyG index was considerably linked to the prevalence of carotid atherosclerosis. Through the findings outlined by the researchers, they concluded that TyG index could be a possible hopeful atherosclerotic marker in those with PsA.
