Robots can be used for foot and ankle surgery as the technology is present, but generally, surgeons have focused on arthroplasty procedures. With the goal to improve peri- and post-operative outcomes, pathologies, ankle kinematics, and post-surgical rehabilitation, researchers summarized developments in foot and ankle surgeries and delved into the utilization of preclinical as well as therapeutic tools, and artificial intelligence (AI).
