Erin Zinn has been in clinical practice for 17 years, specializing in Neurology with a subspecialty focus on movement disorders. She currently serves as a Nurse Practitioner at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio, where she leads the Newly Diagnosed Parkinson’s Disease Shared Medical Appointment educational series. Erin also serves as the Deputy Director of the Association of Movement Disorder Advanced Practice Providers (AMDAPP). These dual roles allow her to pursue both of her professional passions; providing compassionate care to patients and supporting and empowering advanced practice providers in her field.
Erin earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Kent State University, graduating summa cum laude in 2003, and completed her Master of Science in Nursing and Adult Nurse Practitioner program at the University of Akron in 2008. She holds certification as Certified in Movement and Related Disorders (CMRD).
Her career is defined by her commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care and her exceptional ability to educate; guiding patients through their diagnoses and mentoring fellow advanced practice providers. An active member of the International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society® (MDS), Erin collaborated with advanced practice nurses worldwide to establish the working group within the Allied Health Professional Special Interest Group of MDS. She has co-authored a textbook chapter on movement disorders and contributed to a white paper on atypical parkinsonism.
