Deborah Tedesco, DNP, APRN, ANP-BC, CBCN, CPHQ, CWS, CWCN-AP, AP-PMN, FAANP, FNAP, is a U.S. Air Force Nurse Corps Veteran with over 30 years of healthcare experience. She earned her Bachelor and Doctor of Nursing Practice degrees from the University of Central Florida and her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Florida. Dr. Tedesco practices in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and serves as the Advanced Practice Provider Division Director at Advent Health in Orlando, Florida.

Currently completing her second term as President of the Florida Nurse Practitioner Network (FNPN), Dr. Tedesco has also served two terms as President and now as Vice President of the Central Florida Advanced Nursing Practice Council. She is Chair of the Communication and Engagement Committee of the Fellows of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (FAANP) and editor of the FNPN Newsletter. She also is a member of Florida’s Safe Mobility for Life Coalition, the Florida Coalition of Advanced Practice Nurses, and the Florida Quality and Unity in Nursing Council. A passionate advocate for nurse leadership in policy, she supports Healing Politics, encouraging nurses to run for elected office.

A Fellow of both the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the National Academies of Practice, Dr. Tedesco has authored publications on breast reconstruction and surgical pain management and speaks nationally on reconstruction, lipedema, surgical pain management, and advocacy. As owner of NPower Healthcare, she hosts a podcast highlighting nurses and advanced practice providers who improve access to healthcare.
