Ashlyn Smith is a board-certified Physician Associate with specialized expertise in endocrinology, diabetes, and cardio-renal-metabolic conditions, Distinguished Fellow of the American Academy of Physician Associates, and a certified Diabetes Prevention Program Lifestyle Coach. She prioritizes the whole health approach to medical care embodied by the specialty principles of lifestyle medicine. She brings extensive clinical experience and a passion for improving patient outcomes through integrated, patient-centered care. Her work spans clinical practice, telehealth innovation, medical education, and healthcare consulting.

Ashlyn is the founder, educator, and clinician at ELM Endocrinology & Lifestyle Medicine, PLLC, a telehealth-based specialty practice focused on expanding access to high-quality, whole-person endocrine care and education. An entrepreneur and educator, she also co-launched the Independent PA Collective, supporting PAs in starting and scaling innovative, independent healthcare and other PA-led ventures.

Ashlyn is Past President of the American Society of Endocrine Physician Assistants, where she advocates for PA leadership and clinical excellence in endocrine care. She also lectures on pituitary disorders at Creighton University PA Program. In addition to clinical care, she is a frequent speaker at regional and national conferences, known for her engaging and practical approach to complex medical topics.
