A study evaluated how childhood psoriasis affects the quality of life of mothers. Using the Family Dermatology Life Quality Index (FDLQI), it found mothers’ scores varied from 3 to 25, with an average of 13. Most mothers experienced a significant impact on their quality of life, with a strong correlation between these scores and the severity of their children’s psoriasis (PASI scores). Particularly, scalp and pustular psoriasis in children led to higher FDLQI scores. The study concluded that childhood psoriasis significantly impacts the quality of life of both the children and their mothers, influenced by factors like the child’s age and psoriasis type.
