Hardik Thakkar, MSPAS, PA-C is a distinguished Physician Associate with over 13 years of clinical experience in internal hospital medicine, cardiology, and hematology/oncology. He currently serves as the Quality Advanced Practice Advisor and Director of APP Education at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL where he leads strategic initiatives in clinical excellence, documentation improvement, informatics, quality analytics, patient safety, education, and professional development.
In addition to his leadership role at Moffitt, he serves as an Assistant Professor with the USF Morsani College of Medicine PA Program and as a Clinical Instructor with South University Tampa, actively contributing to the academic development of future healthcare providers.
Hardik’s creative leadership has resulted in transformative advancements, including the launch of a comprehensive Internal Hospital Medicine APP Fellowship program, enhanced academic engagement, and high-impact quality improvement projects. His contributions have been recognized with multiple honors, including Moffitt Cancer Center’s APP of the Year in 2022 and the Spirit of Moffitt Award in 2022 and 2023 for his work in quality improvement initiatives.
A passionate mentor, Hardik was awarded the AAPA/PAEA National Preceptor of the Year in 2024 for excellence in clinical education and mentorship. In recognition of his dedication to education and leadership, he was invited to deliver the keynote address for South University PA Program’s Class of 2025 graduation.
He is deeply committed to empowering Advanced Practice Providers, fostering professional growth, and driving innovation, particularly in the areas of informatics and artificial intelligence to advance excellence in patient care and education.
