Pamela Zeilman is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse specializing in Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) and movement disorders at the University of Florida Fixel Institute for Neurological Diseases. With nearly two decades of expertise in DBS programming, patient education, and multidisciplinary care, she has been instrumental in expanding UF Health’s nationally recognized DBS program.

Pamela has trained more than 70 national and international neurology fellows and serves as a mentor to nurse practitioner students and Parkinson Foundation NP Fellows. Her work emphasizes interprofessional collaboration and evidence-based clinical practice to improve outcomes for patients living with Parkinson’s disease, essential tremor, and dystonia.

A recognized educator and speaker, Pamela has presented at national and international conferences, including the Advanced Therapeutics in Movement & Related Disorders (ATMRD) Congress and the Association of Movement Disorder Advanced Practice Providers (AMDAPP) CME Conferences. She serves on the AMDAPP Executive and Onboarding Committees and contributes to annual conference planning.

Her publications include book chapters and peer-reviewed articles on DBS troubleshooting, programming strategies, and patient-centered care. She has received honors such as the UF College of Medicine Program Builder Award and the AMDAPP Sherrie Gould APP Spotlight Award.

Through her clinical expertise, teaching, and leadership, Pamela continues to advance the field of movement disorders and champion the vital role of advanced practice providers in neuromodulation and neurological care.
