The administration of just one analgesic after orthopedic surgery is seemingly ineffective. “Cocktails” of analgesics effectively control post-operative pain via potential synergetic effects, so researchers explored effects and probabilities of efficacy. Pain levels and eight analgesics were analyzed. Findings revealed that cocktails of three to four analgesics were by far the most effective, all of which comprised Metamizole and Paracetamol.
