Unrecognized variants of psoriasis need to be characterized in greater depth in order for clinicians to choose appropriate therapies. Eczematized psoriasis, which occurs in approximately five to ten percent of patients with psoriasis, is such a variant of psoriasis, meaning, signaling pathways responsible for eczema reactions might be activated in eczematized psoriasis. Researchers examine important clinical, histological, and immunological features of eczematized psoriasis, and propose diagnostic criteria as well as treatment options.
