Researchers focused on the global challenge posed by multidrug-resistant (MDR) bacteria, particularly in healthcare settings, investigating the use of fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) as a strategy against recurrent Clostridioides difficile infections and its impact on other microbiota-related diseases. The results showed a reduction in MDR bacteria colonization post-FMT, with an 11.5% decrease in the colonization rate of MDR bacteria.
