Postoperative pain is common following spine surgery, so the use of multimodal analgesia occurs beforehand, and because regional anesthesia is part of this, researchers studied if current regional anesthesia application methods are effective and safe. E-databases were searched for literature concerning paravertebral blocks, paraspinal interfascial plane blocks, erector spinae plane blocks, stellate ganglion blocks, and more, and some of the results showed that superficial techniques for pain relief in the cervical region are less hazardous compared to paravertebral blocks.
