A recent study reviewed the evaluation and treatment of generalized pustular psoriasis. The condition is rare and often linked to metabolic syndrome and polyarthritis. Prompt evaluation and treatment by an interprofessional team are crucial, and the prognosis is generally favorable for subacute annular and circinate generalized pustular psoriasis and for pediatric cases. The presence of a clear trigger, such as generalized pustular psoriasis of pregnancy, improves the prognosis. Conversely, generalized pustular psoriasis developing from acrodermatitis continua of Hallopeau has the poorest prognosis.
